GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION

  1. All poster presenters MUST register for the conference and pay the required fees BEFORE the conference. Follow the instructions and payment procedures at the NSM Conference website: https://www.nsmconference.org.my
  2. Abstracts received for poster presentation have been grouped into various categories, depending on their area of focus. You will be informed of the category that your poster has been assigned through an announcement on the conference website. NO INDIVIDUAL EMAIL NOTIFICATION SHALL BE SENT TO POSTER PRESENTERS.
  3. Format of poster and an optional video prepared for uploading at the website are as follows:
    • Size: Standard A4 (landscape orientation)
    • Format: Save into high-resolution PDF (it is advisable to use either Power Point or Adobe Illustrator to create the artwork before saving into PDF.)
    • Total file size: Less than 25MB
    • Please name the poster according to your poster group category and number as per listed in the website with your first name (e.g A01_Chee Keat / B01_Nurul Farisya / C03_Muhammad Aiman)
    • Note: For those who opt to provide video to be uploaded with the poster:
    • Prepare and record one video, in MP4 format, with a maximum duration of 3-min.
      • Steps to Upload Poster and Video
      • Step 1: Log in your account with registered email address
      • Step 2: Click on “My Submissions”
      • Step 3: Upload your final poster in PDF and video (Optional)
  4. Each poster must include the following information:
    Title of paper, name of author(s), affiliation, introduction, methodology, results and discussion and conclusions. Place a photograph of the presenting author at the top right hand corner of the poster.
  5. Upload final poster in PDF format to the user dashboard by Monday, 13 June 2022. The listing of posters, abstracts and PDF of poster will be ready by 17 June 2022 and you are required to check the website to ensure your abstract and poster (and video, if you submitted one) are correct. Please inform the Secretariat if there are any errors on 17 June 2022.

  6. The best posters prepared by undergraduates shall be awarded cash prizes and a certificate. This competition is strictly restricted to undergraduates. If you are eligible, please label “Undergraduate” on your poster below your photograph. A panel of judges shall be appointed to select the winning posters. Only the posters shall be evaluated by the judges. The video feature is made available as a networking platform for conference participants.
  7. The judging of posters by undergraduates will take place on 18 – 19 June 2022 (2 days before the conference). Ten (10) best posters will be selected and the students will be invited to make a short presentation at approximately 1630 hrs on day 2 of the Conference (22 June 2022). The announcement of winners of the poster competition will be made right after the presentation during the Prize Giving Ceremony, scheduled for 1630 hrs.
  8. Please check out for any conference updates, including the opening ceremony and scientific programme on the Conference website indicated above. NO FURTHER INDIVIDUAL EMAILS SHALL BE SENT TO PARTICIPANTS.
